Process of apartment assignment

The application must be submitted by the inviting institute or professor. We recommend submitting your application to us as early as possible. Regardless of this, for applications for regular visiting professorships, the confirmation of the departmental conference must be submitted later. Only then will the apartment offer be officially confirmed.

Visiting professors

approx. 3-4 Months before the start of the rental period:

• Apartment offer from the Housing Office to the contact person of the institute
• Acceptance of the guest within one week
• Apartment confirmation from the Housing Office to the contact person of the institute. The confirmatio is only send when the confirmation of the DK has been submitted

Other guests/employee

approx. 4-6 Weeks before the start of the rental period:

• Apartment offer or rejection from the Housing Office to the contact person of the institute
• Acceptance of the guest within one week
• Apartment confirmation from the Housing Office to the contact person of the institute
